The passenger car market is in a destocking phase, and the demand increment for power batteries mainly comes from the launch of new car models by OEMs. Overall, the supply-demand balance for power batteries used in passenger cars is relatively loose, with prices currently at low levels and limited room for further cost reductions. In the long term, although prices show a downward trend, the downside room is relatively small. Sales of new energy commercial vehicles are growing rapidly, with high battery capacity per vehicle—for example, the average battery capacity of new energy trucks is 173.2 kWh. Demand for power batteries used in commercial vehicles is strong, with relatively higher prices, and competition among battery cell manufacturers remains at a relatively low level. As the market size for new energy commercial vehicles expands, competition among battery cell manufacturers is expected to intensify, potentially leading to a slight decline in the prices of power batteries for commercial vehicles.
